About Us
Formed in 2025, Bucks Forward is a Political Action Committee dedicated to helping candidates running for local office. Our founder, Jon Panofsky, served as an elected Centennial School Board Director from 2019-2021. During that time he saw the lack of financial resources geared specifically towards candidates running in local races. After the election of Donald Trump, Jon knew he had to do something to help, so he developed Bucks Forward.
About our Founder and Chair
Jon Panofsky
Jon Panofsky is a lifelong resident of Bucks County. Holding a BSEd in Education from Temple University, an MA in Holocaust and Genocide Studies, and a JD from the University of Richmond School of Law.
Always politically active, Jon ran in 2019 to be a School Board Director in the Centennial School District. In that election, Jon garnered the most votes of any candidate in his region, and unseated a 16-year incumbant. He served until 2021.
Jon is also a member of the Greater Philadelphia Steering Committee for the Human Rights Campaign. Dedicated to protecting the rights of LGBTQIA+ individuals, and determined to fight back against the backwards-thinking policies of Donald Trump, Jon formed Bucks Forward to support forward thinking candidates running for local office in Bucks County.
Jon is currently a teacher for special needs students in Bucks County, and resides in Warrington.
